Slovak Illustrators Association

ASIL – Slovak Illustrators Association is an independent open society of Slovak illustrators, graphic designers and other creators of book and magazine culture who felt a need and opportunity to create an independent and non commercial space for their realization bias generations and ways of creation.

Nowdays, ASIL is managing an open database of Slovak illustrators and an information system on current happening on the field of book illustrators, organizing and realizing creative art workshops and theoretical lectures on the field of illustration and book creation, individual and joint exhibitions as well.

A special place in ASIL´ s activities is dedicated to publication of book projects called “MODRÉ NA BIELOM – knižky z ASILu“ (IN BLUE AND WHITE – books from ASIL). It´s an experimental, non - traditional, low – cost bilingual edition project of young authors and illustrators.

ASIL is the main partner of the following two literary and art magazines for children called Včielka (Little bee) and Zornička (Morning Star).

ASIL – Association of Illustrators is a member of EIF - European Illustrators Forum and of Artist in residence.
